Find cheaper alternatives to the brands you already shop.
Most of the time, the piece you want exists somewhere cheaper. Same silhouette, similar fabric, often the same factories — at a fraction of the price you're seeing. The hard part has always been finding it without opening fifteen tabs and giving up.
Penny does the finding. While you browse the brands you already shop, it quietly checks for cheaper alternatives across 100+ retailers, scores them on how close the match is, and surfaces the ones that actually hold up. No tabs. No copy-paste. No guessing whether the dupe is going to feel like nothing.

How Penny finds alternatives
Three things make Penny's matches different from a typical "dupe finder":
Material-level matching, not keyword matching. Penny reads the actual fabric content, weight, and construction of the piece you're looking at. A 100% silk slip dress is matched to other 100% silk slip dresses, not viscose lookalikes dressed up in similar product photography.
A similarity score on every match. You see exactly how close each alternative is — 94%, 78%, 61% — so you can decide if the trade-off is worth it. We don't pretend a $20 piece is identical to a $300 one. We tell you it's a 71% match and let you choose.
No drop-shipped junk. Penny filters out the unreliable Amazon-and-AliExpress versions that arrive feeling nothing like what you saw on screen. The matches you see are real garments from real brands you can rely on.
Why "alternatives" instead of "dupes"
Dupe culture exploded for a reason — the prices on a lot of well-marketed pieces stopped reflecting their construction. But "dupe" usually implies "same look, lower quality." That's not always the trade you want.
Penny finds alternatives: pieces that are genuinely comparable in fabric and fit, often from brands with shorter supply chains and lower margins (Quince is the obvious example). Sometimes the alternative is also a true dupe — a $20 Old Navy version of a $98 Lululemon Align — and Penny tells you that explicitly. Either way, you see the full picture and decide.
